The Australian singer, guitarist and songwriter Bree Leslie Pucilowski, popularly known as Brody Dalle, was born on 1st January, 1979 at Fitzroy in Melbourne, Australia. Brody Dalle also known as Brody Armstrong became famous as the lead singer and guitarist of The Distillers, a punk rock band.

At an early age of 13, Brody started her own band by the name Sourpuss, The experiment helped in forming set of her own fans following, the band continued to play parallel to the likes of Sonic Youth and Beastie Boys at Summersault Festival of Australia. At age 16, she met Tim Armstrong, the lead singer of Rancid, a punk rock band. The teen aged Brody soon fell into a relationship with Armstrong though Armstrong was 12 years older than Brody, they got engaged in 1997. Brody moved from Melbourne to Los Angeles with Armstrong and there the couple founded The Distillers in the year 1998, the name was inspired from a Geelong distillery.

The Distillers first self-titled album released in 2000 received applause and appreciation somewhat similar to American alternative rock band Hole. The Distillers' second album was Sing Sing Death House featuring released songs "City of Angels" and "The Young Crazined Peelg". In 2003, Brody was the only original member left with The Distillers. At that time, they released Album named Coral Fang which featured three released singles ‘The Hunger’, ‘Drain the Blood’ and ‘Beat Your Heart Out’. The band also played Lollapalooza in the same year.

After the Split of The Distillers, Brody started working on Spinnerette with Tony Bevilacqua, a fellow member of The Distillers and Jack Irons, the former drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers along with Pearl Jam and Alain Johannes. This band released solitary single till date by the title ‘Valium Knights’ which is available on the official website of Spinnerette. The band decided to release this song on August 8, 2008 as they considered it a special day for regeneration & resurrection.

Brody also appeared on the track "Weigh on My Mind" from self-titled album of The Transplants in the year 2002. Brody voice is also featured in the song You Got a Killer Scene There Man by Queens of The Stone Age on the record Lullabies to Paralyze, released in the year 2005. Brody also made vocal appearance on 2006 album Death By Sexy by Eagles of Death Metal on the song Cherry Cola.

At age 18, Brody married to Tim Armstrong, the lead singer of punk-band Rancid. Unfortunately their relationship ended after a period of 6 years and the pair divorced in 2003. After their divorce, Brody started using the surname of her favorite French actress Béatrice Dalle who starred in French comic and tragic movie Betty Blue.

Dalle is presently married to Josh Homme, frontman of Queens of the Stone Age and currently living in LA, California. Their first baby Camille Harley Homme was born on 17th January, 2006. Brody recently stated that she is "pregnant", but it did not mean the gestation of a baby but a hint towards her upcoming new album.
